Leonard Kleinrock Establishes the First ARPANET Node and the First Network Connection

On August 30, 1969 The first ARPANET node was installed at the UCLA Network Measurement Center. Leonard Kleinrock established the first network connection between a network packet switch called an Interface Message Processor, ancestor of today's routers, and a time-shared host computer.
