The Bureau of Labor Statistics Begins Publishing Reports on its Website

In 1995 the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics, which began publication of statistics in print in 1886, began publishing statistics on its website. In 2005 the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics celebrated the 10th anniversary of www.bls.gov and stated the number of document views their website received in the years from 1995 to 2005. During the first year they received a monthly average of 72,000 document views; growth of usage of the site was steady, and by 2005 they were received 18.297 million views per month.
