Pierre François Verhulst Presents a Mathematical Model of a Continuously Growing Population

Belgian mathematician Pierre François Verhulst published from Brussels "Notice sur la loi que la population suit dans son accrossement" in Correspondance mathématique et physique X, 113–121. In this paper Verhulst constructed the simplest mathematical model of a continuously growing population with an upper limit to its size.
