The E. R. A. report published in 1949 was mimeographed in a very small number, with its images reproduced as actual photographs on photographic paper rather than as reproductions. This suggests an edition of perhaps only a few dozen copies. Built before the miniaturization of electronics, and designed to search microfilm, the machine took up a wall-sized space.
