This is the first sheet of illustrations from Baxter's patent. You see the way the engraver of the reproductions in the patent has reproduced the different color stages, unfortunately in a way that they are not really recognizable. In the right lower corner is the finished image after 16 or 17 impressions from my copy of Baxter's The Pictorial Album.
