In 2006 Harvard University Press published a printed facsimile of the remarkable herbarium assembled by the American poet, Emily Dickinson of Amherst, Massachusetts. This was called Emily Dickinson's Herbarium: A Facsimile Edition. It reproduced in color facsimile and original size the Herbarium formed by Emily Dickinson preserved at the Houghton Library (MS Am 118.11). The relatively small printing of the edition was rapidly exhausted, and became expensive on the out of print market, making the material difficult to access. The problem of accessibility was solved when Harvard put a digital facsimile of the herbarium, minus the scholarly apparatus, online through the Harvard Library Viewer at this link.

The Herbarium is part of the remarkable Emily Dickinson Collection preserved at the Houghton Library, including more than 1,000 autograph poems and "some 300" letters.
